Gay Rights In California

Proposition 8 was a law that labeled marriage as solely between man and a woman. Although the proposition 8 law has been vetoed currently, I would have to say that gay were created equal like everyone else. Denying someone because of their sexuality goes of hand in hand with past times of denying someone because of their race. Kevin Drum made a great point in why the bill was passed in the beginning stating "liberal counties don't vote and conservative counties vote". So if maybe the liberal counties would have voted, the bill would have been passed in the beginning.
